A New Cancer Buddy support group has started in Centurion, at Netcare Unitas hospital on 16 March 2016.

We would like to invite all cancer patients and/or their families to attend this group.

Time:    18h00

Venue:  Lecture Room 4^th Floor, Netcare Unitas Hospital

We hope to establish this group to provide support and helpful information to people who have been touched by cancer. This group will aim to provide helpful information to facilitate your own healing journey as we all learn to cope with living with cancer.

The goal of this group is to:

·       To create a safe place for cancer patients and their families to meet to share idea and experience around their journey with cancer

·       We will also have some interesting speakers at each group to speak about topics relevant to the audience. Our first meeting will be informal and will be to find out what the needs of the members are.

 

·       To empower patient and families with knowledge that will assist their coping  strategies

·       Research has shown that patients attending support groups cope better with their treatment and also experience less stress and trauma due to the cancer experience.

·       No person should journey alone when diagnosed with cancer come and join us and be part of your own healing team!

        

We are pleased to let you know that we have many exciting meetings planned for the coming year.

All patients are welcome, no matter where one get treated and it will be free of charge. Venue :@ Netcare Unitas Hospital, Clifton Avenue, Lyttelton on the 4th floor. Time: 18h00  Please park in parking lodge we will provide tickets for the time parked and be free.
